Brief Introduction
YS Shan is a distinguished professor, Institute of Clinical medicine, NCKU. Recent years, he devoted in management of biliopancreatic cancer and gastric cancer, and the translational study of biliary tract cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer and GIST. He also performed several IIT and attended international trials in stomach, biliary, and pancreatic cancer. In the translational study, he focuses on the tumor microenvironment of pancreatic cancer and gastric cancer, esp interplaying between cancer cells and tumor associated microphages and tries to develop new treatment for these cancers. At the same time, he also performs genetic study of biliopancreatic cancer and liquid biopsy, using cfDNA and CTCs, to monitor these cancers during treatment.
